After a few years of planning and discussing, a Gucci collection created by Harry Styles is finally born. The label’s creative director Alessandro Michele announced the HA HA HA clothes collection during the last press conference.
Harry Styles’ First Fashion Collection

Alessandro Michele, Gucci’s creative director, opened up about one of the most exciting collections of this year in Milan’s vintage clothing shop. Called HA HA HA, the new clothing collection was born in Harry Styles and Michele’s minds. The two friends worked on the 25 looks for a few years. In the end, they created their “dream wardrobe,” the latter commented. It was made in a casual atmosphere as well: during phone and WhatsApp calls while sipping wine and meeting up during lunch. “It started just like two kids playing, you know, in a very easy way,” Michele said, explaining that the collection “started to be something really concrete maybe one year ago.” And that’s a beautiful part of this creation. There’s no pressure, no boundaries, just friends having fun.
“It’s more about life, you know? ’Cause when you are very encountered with someone in a very deep way, there is not really a way to do it. It’s just something that happened,” Michele added. Styles had a few collaborations with Gucci before, appearing in campaigns and wearing the brand’s clothing. Moreover, he’s proven to be a real fan of the brand, and Michele’s true friend at that. When the two met, Styles had just left One Direction to work on solo projects, while Michele took over Gucci for the first time. “We grew together,” said Michele.
Years-Long Collaboration

Since the first meeting, Michele thanked Styles for helping him reconnect to his teenage point of view and implement that into fashion. In 2022, the pop star became an icon of Michele’s genderfluid vision of clothes and style. After wearing all of those Gucci outfits, the singer wanted to make a few of his own. “The level that Harry has got now, it’s a high-level perception of this job,” Michele said. It’s not just a collaboration between a pop star and a clothing brand – it’s a real work of art from an upcoming designer. Suits make up the most of the collection, with Michele’s ‘70s-inspired shapes included. Of course, Styles’ favorite flared pants that have been popular during the last few years, made it in the HA HA HA, too.
“He always has in his mind a very sophisticated way to be a guy, you know?” Michele said, adding that the singer put his soul into the collection. The outfits have a vintage shop vibe. There are coats and blazers in British club checks, Glen plaids, and pinstripes, as well as patchwork and leather. Pajamas joined the collection as well. “They are something that I usually wear, and [Harry] started to wear too, and now he is obsessed with pajamas,” Michele said. What’s in store for Styles as a designer? Probably more work and clothing collections like HA HA HA. “It’s easy to do it,” the director said about collaborating with Styles.
“But it’s also serious. It’s something that he really, really loves in a serious way. You know, like me.”
