While it’s been almost seven decades since Kelly’s wedding, her gown is still one of the most iconic and talked-about wedding dresses in history.
As you might imagine, Kelly has some Hollywood help with her dress. MGM costume designer Helen Rose gave life to the high-necked, long sleeve dress. Meanwhile, the bodice was made from delicate Brussels lace, embellished with hand-sewn pearls. That was matched with a silk taffeta skirt that boasted a long, elegant train. A circular veil completed what is easily one of the best celebrity wedding dresses ever.
