Robert Redford and Sibylle Szaggars – 24 Years Together

While legendary actor Robert Redford and German artist Sibylle Szaggars began dating in 1996, they did not marry until 2009. “She’s a very special person,” Redford said of Szaggars. “She’s younger than I am (in her early 50s), and European, which I like, so that’s a whole new life.” Redford first met Szaggars when she opened an art gallery in Sundance, Colorado, where the iconic actor owns a hotel and hosts a film festival.

Several times in recent interviews, Redford has stated that Szaggars has given him a “new lease” on life. “When you get older, you learn certain life lessons,” he said. “You apply that wisdom, and suddenly you say, ‘Hey, I’ve got a new lease on this thing. So let’s go.’”
