Looking for something incredible to watch? Well, you’ll love this fantastic drone video created by a Minneapolis studio. After they released it online, it immediately went viral – and you’ll quickly see why!
Stunning Drone Video
Believe it or not, The Sky Candy Studios say that its incredible drone tour of the bowling alley was not for advertising purposes. Still, now, thanks to the Studios’ amazing video, millions more around the world know about local Minneapolis bowling alley Bryant Lake Bowl. The video might only clock in at 87 seconds long, but it captures nearly every part of the premises, including the bar, bowling, every visitor, and so much more. It’s only missing the bathroom! When you watch the video, make sure to wait until the very end for an incredible surprise!
As soon as the excellent video went online, as you might imagine, it went completely viral. As of this writing, the piece, entitled “Right Up Our Alley,” has earned nearly two million views on YouTube! It’s also managed to attract the attention of some big wigs in Hollywood…
Choosing Bowling Alley As A Location
For every hundred or so comments of praise, there was always one or two doubting the video’s authenticity. However, Bryant Lake Bowl’s bartender Farrah Donovan wants everyone to know the truth: “Everyone is like doubting it. I can vouch that it’s 100% real. I was here,” he said.
The director behind the impressive shoot, Anthony Jaska, said that he wanted to showcase his first-person view (FPV) drone footage in an interesting location. Meanwhile, Jay Byrd Christiansen flew the drone, and he reportedly nailed all in just a few takes! “We probably did 10 takes with the camera running,” Christensen said. “The first few, the timing was way off and we would get to a certain part and the bowler wouldn’t be there, or maybe the drone was a little out of position…”
Noticed By A-List Producers
While there are no edits or CGI in the video, the crew did need to dub some of the actor’s voices just to have their words sound clearer. Those with eagle ears and eyes might even be able to spot a few references to major bowling movies like The Big Lebowski. We’ll give you a minor hit: keep your ears peeled for one of the most famous lines from the movie!
Thanks to this amazing video and its success, all those involved at Sky Candy Studios could see their name in lights in Hollywood soon enough. That’s right! None other than the director of Guardians of the Galaxy, James Gunn, noticed the team’s skills and decided to give them something more than a shoutout. “Oh my God this drone shot is stupendous,” he wrote on Twitter. “I want them to come with us to London later this year when we shoot Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.” Let’s see if it pans out!
